OMENS RELATED TO PIG’S MOVEMENT
According to Hindu mythology, the pig (or boar) is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Muslims also adore it as holy animal. The cries emanated by pig have more potency if they seem to emerge from the eastern direction. In the European folklore, pig was closely associated with the corn-goddess, Demeter. Since pigs damage crop, they are held to be the enemy of the farmers or peasants.
A domestic pig is always considered auspicious. If the pig’s net is wet or covered with mud, it is deemed auspicious for the viewer. If a pig is seen approaching from the left, it is an auspicious omen. If, however, the mud the pig rolls in is dried up, it is held inauspicious. If a person spots a pig on his left, while embarking upon a journey, he or she will succeed in the mission. If a person spots a pig towards his right while entering a house, town or a village, he will have benefits. If we see a pig, while entering a village, it is a good omen for success. If a pig comes in front charging up with anger, it foretells quarrel. If you spot a pig couple engaged in a sexual union, it foretells a chance meeting of your beloved friend.
